Dr. Mohamad ‘Ariff Fahmi bin Ahmad Zawawi is a Family Medicine Specialist with subspecialty training in Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) in primary care. He holds a Master of Medicine in Family Medicine (USM) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Obesity and Weight Management (University of South Wales, UK), and is a SCOPE Certified Professional by the World Obesity Federation. Dr. Ariff has contributed to the Technical Working Group for National Strategic Plan on Obesity, and has published in Obesity Reviews and Malaysian Family Physician, among others. He is involved in obesity and diabetes research, particularly in patient experiences and counselling self-efficacy. As Assistant Secretary of the Malaysian Obesity Society and member of several professional bodies, he is committed to advancing integrated obesity and NCD care in Malaysia.
