Dr Terence Ong is an Associate Professor and Consultant Geriatrician at Universiti Malaya and Universiti Malaya Medical Centre. He completed his clinical and research training at Nottingham University Hospitals and the University of Nottingham. He is a current Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, and holds committee roles in the Malaysia Society of Geriatric Medicine, Malaysian Osteoporosis Society and the Fragility Fracture Network. He also serves on the editorial board of Age and Ageing and BMC Geriatrics. Dr Ong’s clinical academic interests are in musculoskeletal health and geriatric liaison services. He currently leads the Virtual Ward programme at UMMC. He aspires to incorporate further digital health components to deliver better care for older people in the community.
