CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

All abstracts that are accepted will be featured in the conference proceedings, which will be published and assigned an International Standard Book Number (ISBN) for professional documentation and accessibility.

Information to take note before submission:

  • To submit an abstract, you are required to create an account on the NCDM 2025 abstract submission portal and submit the abstract via the account.
  • The submitting author is not required to be the first author of the abstract. However, he or she will be required to select the first author where required in the submission portal.
  • Upon successful submission, a unique number will be assigned.
  • Please ensure the content of abstract(s) are checked prior to submission. No modifications or resubmissions are allowed once the first submission is accepted.
  • Author(s) are required to download and complete a Disclosure Form. It is the submitting author’s responsibility to compile and and upload the completed form(s) of all authors via the NCDM 2025 abstract submission portal.
  • Please note that no charges will be applied for creating an account to submit an abstract.

Abstract Eligibility

As you prepare your submission, please take note of the following:

  • All submissions should be made in English. All cancer-related abstract(s) will be acceptable for submission and presentation. Case studies and reports with high impact will be considered.
  • Abstract(s) should include scientific data, clinical observation(s) or scientific questions relevant to cancer. However, abstracts comprising of areas of social sciences, advocacy or policy, social marketing or advertising, or even successful programme implementation are not subject to the structure of scientific abstracts and will be accepted on their own merit of novelty and innovation.
  • Previously presented clinical trial data are allowed if there is any new significant data included.
  • Submission of multiple abstracts on a single study may result in the rejection of one or more abstracts.

The first author is responsible for conveying this information to all involved parties.

First Author Responsibilities
  • Agree and give consent to the Confidentiality Policy on behalf of all parties involved with the content of the abstract(s) and data presented.
  • Accept responsibility for communicating this policy and relevant information to all involved parties and act as the contact person for all correspondence about the abstract(s).
  • Verify that proper informed consent is obtained from the appropriate ethics committee or review board for clinical research reported in the abstracts.
  • Agree that all involved parties are aware of the contents of the abstract(s) and related data.
  • Agree to hand over the copyright of the abstract to the NCDM 2025 Scientific Committee on behalf of all involved parties.
  • Agree that if more than one abstract is submitted, the same contact information will be used.
  • Agree to provide details of the corresponding author if needed to be contacted by the review committee. Please designate the corresponding author within the abstract submission portal.
Submission Requirements

    To submit an abstract, please log in to the NCDM 2025 abstract submission portal . Please note that the submission may be made by any of the co-authors and not necessarily the first author of the abstract. However, the submitting author is required to identify the first author where required.

    Upon submission, the first author is considered to have accepted all NCDM 2025 policies and will be held responsible for any violation of these policies.

Selection Process and Rapid-fire Presentations

Abstract Selection

  • All submitted rapid-fire abstracts will be screened and reviewed by the NCDM 2025 Scientific Committee before approval for presentation at NCDM 2025 and for publication in the NCDM 2025 Congress Proceedings.
  • The first author will receive a letter of acceptance via email from the committee regarding its decision on the abstract within 14 days of the submission. It is the first author’s responsibility to notify all involved parties of this decision.
  • The first author can proceed to register within 30 days of receiving the letter of acceptance from the NCDM 2025 Scientific Committee.
  • Interested participants are welcome to register as Delegates prior to their abstract(s) acceptance. Upon acceptance, their status will then be changed to Presenter(s).
  • In the case that the first author does not register within 30 days of receiving the letter of acceptance, the letter of acceptance will be cancelled with immediate effect.

Type of presentation

Selected abstracts will be presented during rapid-fire oral presentation sessions. Each rapid-fire oral presentation will last a total of 5 minutes, divided into a 3-minute presentation section and a 2-minute Q&A section. A maximum of 5 slides can be used for the presentation. These slides can be uploaded into the NCDM 2025 abstract submission portal once the corresponding abstract has been accepted for presentation. A link to upload these slides will be provided in the acceptance email.

Conflict of Interest Policy

The first author is responsible for ensuring that there are no conflicts of interest among involved parties before submitting an abstract. He or she must also obtain disclosure information from all co-authors and ensure that all co-authors meet the definition of authorship as stated by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors.

Awards

MERIT AWARDS

  • All Non-Student submissions are automatically evaluated for a Merit Award.
  • A total of 16 Merit Awards will be awarded to the top-ranked abstracts.
  • Award recipients will be screened and selected thoroughly by the NCDM 2025 Scientific Committee. The committee’s decision is final.
  • Award recipients will be announced on the last day of the conference.
  • Merit Award recipients are honoured with a trophy plaque, Certificate of Merit and waived registration fees.
  • Applicants MUST be the first author on the abstract submission.
  • Abstract must be presented during the conference.

STUDENT MERIT AWARDS

  • All Student submissions are automatically evaluated for a Student Merit Award.
  • A total of 4 Student Merit Awards will be awarded to the top-ranked abstracts.
  • Award recipients are honored with a trophy plaque, Certificate of Merit and waived registration fees.
  • Award recipients will be screened and selected thoroughly by the NCDM 2025 Scientific Committee. The committee’s decision is final.
  • Award recipients will be announced on the last day of the conference.
  • Merit Award recipients are honoured with a trophy plaque, Certificate of Merit and waived registration fees.
  • Applicants MUST be the first author on the abstract submission.
  • Abstract must be presented during the conference.

Abstract Policies

The First Author agrees to the Prior Presentation/Publication Policy and Confidentiality Policy before submitting an abstract on behalf of all involved parties associated with the abstract. The first author will be held accountable for any policy violations of the abstract and is responsible for informing all parties involved about the policies and adhering to them.

      • The contents and conclusions of the abstract cannot be published or presented at any scientific, medical, or educational gathering before the NCDM 2025 conference. As the novelty of the data is considered during the abstract selection process, authors are strongly encouraged to include updated data. Once an abstract has been formally submitted, it cannot be amended, revised, or resubmitted.
    • Publication:
      • The contents and conclusions of the abstract cannot be published in any medical, scientific, or educational publication (in whole or in part) before the abstract is made publicly available through the NCDM 2025 proceedings. Pre-prints are allowed before abstract submission.
  • Any breach of these policies may result in the rejection or removal of the abstract from NCDM 2025.
  • Confidentiality Policy

Once an abstract is submitted to NCDM 2025, the abstract and relevant data are confidential. Authors involved are responsible for not publishing or distributing the content or relevant data to any individual who could potentially make it public prior to presentation and proceeding publication. The confidentiality policy will no longer be in effect once the NCDM 2025 proceedings are published, and authors may use it publicly thereafter. The NCDM 2025 Scientific Committee reserves the right to reject abstracts that are determined to be unsuitable or non-compliant with the guidelines outlined.   • Generative Artificial Intelligence Policy

The Scientific Committee of NCDM 2025 firmly states that the use of generative AI technologies (such as ChatGPT) in the production of abstract(s) is not permitted. AI-generated submissions will be rejected.
