Prof Dr Chin Ai Vyrn is a Senior Consultant Geriatrician. He was the head of Geriatric Medicine at University Malaya Medical Centre and Professor of Geriatric Medicine with Universiti Malaya prior to joining Subang Jaya Medical Centre. He is a founding number of the Malaysian Society of Geriatric Medicine as well as Ageing and Age Associated Disorders research group in Universiti Malaya. Dr Chin has contributed significantly to training, research and service development for Geriatric Medicine in Malaysia including policy papers such as the National Dementia Action Plan. He is Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in Edinburgh and has a Doctorate in Medicine from Trinity College Dublin.

Dr Chin is a expert in Dementia and Memory disorders. Other areas of expertise include Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment, Geriatric Rehabilitation, falls, frailty, delirium, bone health, Advanced Care planning and mood disorders in older persons
