Dr. Ungku Ahmad Ameen bin Ungku Mohd Zam began his training as a Geriatrician in 2010. He led the establishment of the Geriatric service at Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah, Klang (HTAR) and currently serves as the Head of the Geriatric Unit there, in addition to being the state Geriatrician for Selangor. He serves as a supervisor for geriatric trainees at the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education, and he is also a visiting lecturer at Sunway University for the Post Graduate Diploma in Primary Care for the Elderly program.

Dr. Ungku Ameen is engaged in various development projects within the Ministry of Health Malaysia, including the Seamless Geriatric Care and Lean Health Projects in Selangor, where he serves as the lead coordinator. He has also been actively volunteering in community initiatives in Selangor, promoting healthy aging through active screening and intervention for Sarcopenia in older populations, and is spearheading the national module development for Sarcopenia.
