Dr. Looi Chung Yeng earned his Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Hons) from Universiti Putra Malaysia before completing his Master’s and Ph.D. at Tohoku University, Japan, under a Japanese Government scholarship. He is currently an Associate Professor at Taylor’s University School of Biosciences, specializing in drug design, delivery and development. Dr. Looi has published more than 70 indexed papers, achieving an H-index of 41 with over 6,000 citations, and has authored a few book chapters. He serves as Associate or Review Editor for top tier ISI and Scopus journals. His international recognition includes Best Presenter at University of Tokyo and contributed as production scientist in the Phase 3 multi-center immunotherapy trial with Tessa Therapeutics. In 2024, he was honored with Taylor’s Vice Chancellor Award for excellence in research.
