Dr. Elizabeth Chong is a Consultant Geriatrician at Hospital Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She serves as the lead for the Malaysian Patient Safety Goal Falls Prevention and Intervention steering committee. She also spearheads the Orthogeriatric Services under the Ministry of Health Malaysia and is one of the key driving force behind the development and implementation of the Geriatric Fracture Liaison Service policy.
Dr. Elizabeth has played a pivotal role in the development of numerous national healthcare guidelines, including the Falls Initiative for Older Persons, the Guideline on the Implementation of Patient Falls Prevention & Intervention Programme, Fracture Liaison Service Framework, and the Clinical Practice Guidelines for the Management of Osteoporosis and Geriatric Hip Fracture.
She currently serves as the President of the Fragility Fracture Network Malaysia. Additionally, she is part of the steering committee for the SEA, HK & India Bone Academy and also holds the position of Deputy Chair for the FFN Asia-Pacific Regionalisation Committee.
