Dr. Sharina Binti Hamzah is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Pharmacy, Faculty of Health & Medical Sciences, Taylor’s University, Malaysia. She holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacogenomics from Universiti Teknologi MARA and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Genetics and Molecular Biology from Universiti Malaya. At Taylor’s, Dr. Sharina contributes to academic leadership as Department Coordinator for Pharmacology and Life Sciences, School Quality Assurance Officer, and member of the University Quality Assurance and Enhancement Committee and the Institutional Biosafety Committee. Her research expertise includes gene cloning, protein expression, gene expression analysis, and pharmacogenomics. She has published in peer-reviewed journals on topics such as CRISPR-based cancer therapeutics, CAR T-cell therapy, and the pharmacogenomics of statin response. Her broader research interests encompass pharmacogenomics, drug development, and natural product pharmacology, with a growing interest in mental health. She has led and collaborated on research funded by national and institutional bodies, focusing on gene–drug interactions, cancer therapeutics, and the pharmacological potential of natural compounds.
