Dr Toh Gaik Theng is a Senior Lecturer in Physiology at the School of Medicine, Taylor’s University. She holds a PhD in Medical Genome Sciences from The University of Tokyo, Japan. Her primary research interests lie in cancer, with a focus on genetic mutations and screening, molecular mechanisms and cell signaling pathways. Alongside her research, Dr Toh is also engaged in the scholarship of teaching and learning in higher education, where she explores innovative approaches to enhance student engagement, promote active learning and support student success in health sciences education. Her dedication to advancing research and education reflects her passion for shaping the future generation of healthcare professionals and researchers.
