Prof. Dato’ Dr. Jafri Malin Abdullah, Professor of Neurosciences at Universiti Sains Malaysia, is a leading figure in basic, applied, and clinical neuroscience. He earned his MD (USM, 1986), neurosurgery certification, and PhD (Magna Cum Laude, Ghent University, 1995), followed by postdoctoral training at Karolinska Institute and Ghent University. His expertise spans nociceptive/neuropathic pain, neurophysiology, and radiosurgical neuroscience. Founder of multiple neuroscience postgraduate programs at USM, he fosters global collaborations, joining the Global Brain Consortium in 2018 and serving as South Asia Chapter Representative (2024). He represented Malaysia at the 78th UN General Assembly (2023) and holds fellowships in prestigious academies worldwide.
