Prof. Liam Chong Kin is a senior consultant in Respiratory Medicine and practices in Universiti Malaya Medical Centre and UM Specialist Centre.

Prof. Liam is a keen researcher and a prolific author having published extensively on lung cancer and other respiratory diseases in various scientific journals and proceedings of scientific meetings. He is among the world’s top 2% of the most-cited scientists in 2022, 2023 and 2024 according to Stanford University with close to 8,000 citations (up to 28 August 2025). He is a highly sought-after speaker on lung cancer in Malaysia and internationally.
